What a complete record of AI agent work contains

Logs are fragments, not an account

A model transcript can show what was said. An identity log can show who signed in. A tool log can show that a request occurred. None of those alone answers the organisational question: who authorised what, under which scope, with which result?

A complete record must connect the fragments without asking a reviewer to trust a narrative written after the event.

Four questions belong together

The record should identify the person and session, preserve the concrete action that was proposed, show the scopes and decision that authorised it, and capture the evidence of execution or refusal.

The same correlation identifier must follow that work across the systems that establish identity, enforce the boundary, evaluate technical changes, and retain workspace state.

Verification should survive the service

Evidence is more useful when the organisation can export it and verify it offline. The verifier should not need to trust Aelethion’s server, network, or company to recompute the result.

That does not make every claim absolute. A signed record proves the integrity and origin of what was recorded. Each underlying mechanism still has a defined technical boundary, and those boundaries must remain visible.

Refusals matter too

A complete account includes the actions Athena did not allow. A refusal can demonstrate that a missing scope, invalid authority, or execution boundary worked as designed.

When actions and refusals share the same record, security and procurement teams can inspect the operating model rather than relying on a promise that the agent behaved.
